Interact With + Test Vendor Hardware

Wireless Oklahoma is the perfect event for decision-makers whether they speak geek or not. This event will provide an in-depth, hands-on understanding of technologies available to Oklahoma’s remarkable designers and network implementers.

Top industry vendors have created 10-minute demonstrations, to be showcased throughout the day, that highlight the benefits of their networking solutions and key differentiators. Manufacturer experts will test hardware live at the event, giving attendees real-time access to insights and performance metrics that can have an immediate impact on your organization today.

How it Works

Each vendor will have access to the test-bed infrastructure and software necessary to demonstrate how their product performs in real-life conditions. Attendees will be able to see real-time performance metrics and live threat vector simulations at multiple locations around the venue.

Each Wi-Fi manufacturer will set up an SSID under their brand using a pre-assigned 5GHz only channel plan to provide the events’ Wi-Fi Broadband connectivity.

The Bennett Arena’s 95 AP’s will be turned off except for ticket scanning on 2.4Ghz and to fill any non-event-related coverage gaps.

Testing equipment such as network endpoints, load generators, probes, and threat attack simulators will create real-world simulations.

The resulting flash mob of event attendees will associate to various networks and begin passing traffic while the event metrics continue to display critical traffic reliability through the use of the MOS score metric.

Performance Testing Capabilities

Before the event, we will test maximum performance benchmarks in a low RF environment to ensure optimal configurations and integrity of the results in the following categories:

  • Wi-Fi 6
  • Outdoor Multipoint Wireless
  • In-building Wireless – 5G/LTE/DAS/Public Safety/Private-LTE
  • Switching and SD LAN
  • Network Management, Visibility, and Security
  • Firewalls, IPS/IDS
  • Remote Branch Connectivity – SD-WAN

Competition Overview

Fastest PC - Highest UserBenchmark Workstation

Attendees will run UserBenchmark onsite at the Laptop Contest Station and post a photo or screenshot of their score showing both their Workstation Percentage and their PC Status Percentile.

Best Performing PC - Highest UserBenchmark PC Status Percentile

Attendees will run UserBenchmark onsite at the Laptop Contest Station and post a photo or screenshot of their score showing both their Workstation Percentage and PC Status Percentile.

Quick Draw Laptop - Quickest Time

Attendees will take a photo or capture of a specific website, shutdown their laptop, power it back up, and return to the same website. Your score will be calculated by the total time it takes to perform the tasks.

CAT6A Jack Termination - Quickest Time

Attendees will receive basic instruction on terminating and testing a CAT6A Jack and then try their luck against the stopwatch. Time will be recorded from tools up to tools down and all terminations must pass a performance.

Patch Panel Termination - Quickest Time

Attendees will receive basic instruction on terminating and testing a patch panel port and then try their luck against the stopwatch. Time will be recorded from tools up to tools down and all terminations must pass specification testing.

Fiber Termination - Quickest Time

Attendees will receive basic instruction on terminating and testing a fiber end and then try their luck against the stopwatch. Time will be recorded from tools up to tools down and all terminations must pass specification testing.

Coax Termination - Quickest Time

Attendees will receive basic instruction on terminating and testing a Coax end and then try their luck against the stopwatch. Time will be recorded from tools up to tools down and all terminations must pass specification testing.

Advisory Committee

The Wireless Oklahoma Advisory Committee consists of recognized industry experts who defined the technologies considered most impactful presented and tested at Wireless Oklahoma.

Following the inaugural 2021 Wireless Oklahoma, the Advisory Committee will convene regularly to refine the event for 2022: magnify what worked, shed what didn’t, while keeping their fingers on the pulse of emerging technologies to showcase at Wireless Oklahoma 2022.
